Break the Shield First

Granny always said you can’t scrub a pan clean until you soak off the crust.

Your body works the same way. The parasites, yeast, mold, and bad bacteria that set up house inside you don’t just float around waiting to be cleared out. They build themselves a shield — a slimy, sticky fortress called a biofilm — and hide underneath it. You can take the strongest cleanse on the shelf, but if that shield is still standing, the herbs bounce off the walls while the crowd inside waits it out.

Biofilm Buster Organic Herbal Tincture Blend is made with eight organic herbs chosen to break that shield down, so everything that comes after it can finally reach what it’s after.*

WHAT A BIOFILM IS

You already know what a biofilm looks like, even if you’ve never heard the word:

  • The plaque on your teeth is a biofilm.
  • The slime inside a sink drain is a biofilm.
  • The film on the dog’s water bowl after a day or two is a biofilm.

A biofilm forms when organisms band together and build a shared home out of sugars, proteins, and minerals. Inside it, they’re protected from things that would normally wipe them out. They trade signals with each other, coordinate, multiply, and send out new colonies when they’re ready. Biofilms also pull heavy metals and minerals from the body into their walls, using them like rebar in concrete.

And just like the plaque on your teeth, a biofilm doesn’t stay gone. Brush once and stop, and the plaque is back in a day. Organisms rebuild their shield constantly — which is why keeping it down is ongoing work.

WHY BIOFILM MATTERS

This is the step most cleanses skip — and it’s why so many people do a cleanse, feel better for a few weeks, and then watch everything come right back.

When organisms are hiding under biofilm:

  • Cleanses stall. The herbs reach the surface, and the colony underneath survives to rebuild.
  • Problems keep coming back. Yeast that flares up again and again, gut trouble that never fully settles, sinuses that stay stuffy, or a bladder that stays irritated.
  • Your defenses can’t get in. Your immune system can’t see past the wall, so the colony grows unchecked.
  • Heavy metals stay locked up. They’re built into the walls of the film.
  • Your filters never catch up. A standing biofilm leaks a steady trickle of waste into your blood and lymph, day after day.

Breaking the biofilm is what turns a cleanse that almost works into one that finishes the job.*

SIGNS BIOFILM MAY BE STANDING IN YOUR WAY

  • Cleanses that help for a while, then everything comes back
  • Yeast, digestive, or sinus trouble that keeps returning
  • Bloating and gas that no change in diet seems to fix
  • A coated tongue and breath that won’t freshen
  • Fatigue and brain fog that never fully lift
  • Itchy, irritated skin that comes and goes

THE HERBS, AND WHY EACH ONE IS HERE

Every herb in this blend has a job against the shield. Oregon grape and garlic break up the colony from the inside. Cinnamon, oregano, clove, and thyme dissolve the walls and go after what’s exposed. Ginger and black pepper carry the whole formula where it needs to go.

ORGANIC OREGON GRAPE ROOT (Mahonia aquifolium) — THE LEAD

The tradition:
An evergreen shrub of the Pacific Northwest — Oregon’s state flower — with holly-like leaves and dusty blue berries. Native people of the region used its bright yellow root for the gut and the skin long before anyone named it.

What’s in it:
Berberine, the golden alkaloid that gives the root its color and its bite.

Why it’s outstanding:
Organisms build biofilm by talking to each other — sending chemical signals that say, “The crowd is big enough; start building.” Berberine scrambles those signals. It also supports a healthy balance of gut bacteria and gets bile flowing, which helps carry out what breaks loose.*

Its job in this blend:
It leads, breaking up the colony’s communication so the shield stops going up and starts coming down.*

ORGANIC CEYLON CINNAMON BARK (Cinnamomum verum) — THE WALL DISSOLVER

The tradition:
True cinnamon comes from the island of Sri Lanka, once called Ceylon. It was so precious in ancient Egypt that it was used to prepare the pharaohs for burial, and spice traders kept its source a secret for centuries.

What’s in it:
Cinnamaldehyde, the compound behind cinnamon’s warmth.

Why it’s outstanding:
Cinnamaldehyde helps dissolve the sticky matrix that holds a biofilm together and supports a healthy balance of gut organisms.*

Why Ceylon:
Most grocery-store cinnamon is cassia, which contains far more coumarin. Ceylon is the true cinnamon, gentle enough for ongoing use.*

Its job in this blend:
It softens the walls so the other herbs can get through.*

ORGANIC FRESH GARLIC BULB (Allium sativum) — THE BATTERING RAM

The tradition:
The builders of the Egyptian pyramids were fed garlic to keep them strong, and Roman soldiers carried it into battle. Every kitchen in the world has some. (If anybody complains about your breath, tell them Granny said it’s working.)

What’s in it:
Allicin, formed the moment fresh garlic is crushed, and ajoene, which forms from it.

Why it’s outstanding:
Ajoene goes straight after the colony’s signaling, and allicin supports a healthy balance of gut organisms once they’re exposed. Garlic is one of the most powerful kitchen herbs there is against the crowds that hide under biofilm.*

Why fresh:
Allicin forms when fresh garlic is crushed. Dried garlic powder has lost most of it. We crush ours fresh and tincture it at 1:2, so the bottle carries what the fresh bulb carries.*

Its job in this blend:
It breaks through and goes after what’s inside.*

ORGANIC OREGANO LEAF (Origanum vulgare) — THE CLEAN-OUT

The tradition:
The name comes from the Greek for “joy of the mountain.” Oregano has grown wild on Mediterranean hillsides and been used as a cleansing herb for thousands of years.

What’s in it:
Carvacrol, one of the most potent aromatic compounds in any plant.

Why it’s outstanding:
Carvacrol helps break down biofilm and keeps gut organisms in balance once the shield is open.*

Its job in this blend:
It goes after what’s exposed as the walls come down.*

ORGANIC CLOVE BUD (Syzygium aromaticum) — THE PLAQUE FIGHTER

The tradition:
For centuries, people pressed a clove against an aching tooth — and the plaque on teeth is the most familiar biofilm there is. Two thousand years ago, Chinese courtiers held cloves in their mouths to sweeten their breath before speaking to the emperor.

What’s in it:
Eugenol — the compound behind clove’s heat and that warm, numbing tingle.

Why it’s outstanding: Clove has been working against biofilm in the mouth for as long as people have had teeth. In the gut, it does the same work and supports a healthy balance of organisms.*

Its job in this blend:
It works alongside cinnamon and oregano on the walls of the film.*

ORGANIC GINGER ROOT (Zingiber officinale) — THE MOVER

The tradition:
Ginger shows up in nearly every traditional cleanse for one reason: it keeps things moving.

What’s in it:
Gingerols and shogaols, the source of ginger’s warmth and bite.

Why it’s outstanding:
Ginger keeps the gut moving on schedule and settles the queasiness a strong cleanse can bring on.*

Its job in this blend:
What breaks loose has to leave the body. Ginger keeps the gut moving so it does, and keeps a hot formula sitting right.*

ORGANIC THYME LEAF (Thymus vulgaris) — THE REINFORCEMENT

The tradition:
Roman soldiers bathed in thyme for courage. Its oil was one of the original ingredients in old-fashioned mouthwash.

What’s in it:
Thymol — so powerful that beekeepers use it to protect their hives from mites.

Why it’s outstanding:
Thymol helps break down biofilm and supports a healthy balance of gut flora.*

Its job in this blend:
It backs up oregano and clove, so nothing that slips past one herb gets past the next.*

ORGANIC BLACK PEPPER FRUIT (Piper nigrum) — THE DELIVERY DRIVER

The tradition:
Black pepper was once so valuable that it was used as money. Rent, taxes, and dowries were paid in peppercorns.

What’s in it:
Piperine, the compound behind pepper’s bite.

Why it’s outstanding:
Piperine helps the body absorb and hold on to the herbs it’s paired with, so more of what’s in the bottle gets where it’s going.*

Its job in this blend:
It carries the whole formula further.*

BETTER TOGETHER: BIOFILM BUSTER WELLNESS TEA

The tincture and the tea are built to work as a team, and they share four herbs: Organic Oregon Grape Root, Organic Ceylon Cinnamon Bark, Organic Ginger Root, and Organic Clove Bud.

Then the tea brings what a tincture can’t:

  • Organic Cistus (Rock Rose) Herb leads the tea. Cistus is rich in polyphenols that work against biofilm, and they come out best in hot water.
  • Organic Pomegranate Husk, Organic Cranberry Fruit, and Organic Hibiscus Flower bring tannins and deep-red plant compounds that help keep organisms from clinging to the walls of the gut and bladder.
  • Organic Green Tea Leaf brings its own biofilm-fighting polyphenols.
  • Organic Stevia Leaf rounds it off, so it’s a cup you’ll actually drink.

Alcohol pulls the strong, oily compounds out of the herbs and concentrates them into drops. Hot water pulls the tannins and polyphenols the alcohol leaves behind — and a full tablespoon of whole herb in every cup is far more plant than any dropper can hold. Drops attack the shield from one side; the tea attacks it from the other.

How to brew it:
This one is simmered, not steeped. Use 1 tablespoon per 8 oz of water, cover the pot, and simmer for 15 minutes. Strain and drink.

A simple rhythm: drops just before breakfast and supper, and a cup of Biofilm Buster Wellness Tea in the morning or early afternoon. The tea contains green tea, so it carries a little caffeine — keep it to the first half of the day.

HOW TO TAKE IT

Shake well — every time.
This is a whole-herb extract, and plant matter settles to the bottom between doses. Sediment means the herbs are really in there. Shake before every dose so each serving carries the full blend.

Empty stomach or food?
Just before food — and it matters. Take your drops a few minutes before you eat. The herbs reach the gut ahead of the meal, at full strength, and the food that follows keeps a hot formula from sitting hard on your stomach.

When:
Just before breakfast and supper, and before lunch too if you’re taking three doses a day.

How:
Always mix in water. Never take it straight — it’s hot.

  • Adults: 25 drops, 2–3 times daily
  • Teens 16+: 12 drops, 2 times daily
  • Sensitive individuals: Start with 8 drops

Taste:
Hot, spicy, and aromatic, with fresh garlic up front. A spoonful of honey afterward is allowed.

BINDERS: THIS BLEND NEEDS ONE

When the shield comes down, everything that was hiding behind it comes loose at once — organisms, their waste, and the heavy metals that were built into the walls. If nothing catches it in the gut, it gets reabsorbed right back into your blood. A binder grabs it and carries it out with you.

Activated Charcoal, Bentonite Clay, and Diatomaceous Earth are the choices.

  • Activated Charcoal — the strongest grabber. Take 1–2 capsules (500–1,000 mg), or 1/4 teaspoon of powder in a full glass of water, once a day. It turns stool black; that’s normal. It can be binding, so keep the water coming.
  • Bentonite Clay — volcanic clay with a negative charge that pulls in positively charged toxins like a magnet. Use 1 teaspoon of food-grade powder in 8 oz of water, once a day, followed by another full glass. Stir with wood or plastic, never metal.
  • Diatomaceous Earth — fossilized algae shells with microscopic sharp edges that bind and sweep the gut. Start with 1 teaspoon of food-grade powder in a full glass of water, once a day, and work up to 1 tablespoon. Never use the pool-filter kind.

Two hours apart, always.
Keep at least two hours between your binder and your drops, your meals, and any other supplements. A binder can’t tell what you want carried out from what you just took, so if they meet, it soaks up both. Mid-afternoon or bedtime works well.

HERXING

When the shield breaks, the organisms behind it are suddenly exposed — and as they die off, they release their toxins all at once. That’s herxing, short for a Herx reaction, and with Biofilm Buster, it can be real.

What herxing feels like:
Headaches, exhaustion, body aches, nausea, brain fog, chills or a flu-like feeling, skin flares, and irritability.

How long it lasts:
Usually a few days, sometimes up to a week, hitting hardest in the first round.

What to do:

  • Drink more water.
  • Stay on your binder every day — it’s your best defense against herxing.
  • Keep your bowels moving.
  • Rest.
  • Cut your dose in half for a few days, then build back up.

Don’t quit. Herxing means the shield is coming down.

HOW OFTEN AND HOW LONG

How often:
2–3 times a day, just before meals.

How long:
Ongoing. Biofilm is never knocked down once and for all. Organisms rebuild their shield constantly, and the load we live under keeps feeding them. Keeping it down is the same as keeping plaque off your teeth — it works because you keep at it.

Run it in rounds: four weeks on, one week off, then start again. The same hot herbs that break the shield also touch your good gut bacteria. The week off gives them room to rebuild, so they’re strong when the next round starts.

  • During a cleanse: Full dose, 2–3 times a day, starting one to two weeks ahead and running the whole way through.
  • Between cleanses: Stay on it in rounds to keep the shield from going back up. Twice a day is plenty once the heavy lifting is done.*

THE FIRST STEP FOR NEARLY THE WHOLE LINE

Biofilm stands in the way of almost every kind of cleansing work, so Biofilm Buster belongs at the start of nearly every Godly Granny cleanse.

It opens the door for:

  • Anti-Parasite — Parasites hide behind biofilm, eggs and all.
  • Candida Yeast Balance — Yeast is one of the master builders of biofilm.
  • Mold Fashioned — Mold colonies shelter under the same shield.
  • Heavy Metal Detox — Biofilm builds heavy metals into its walls. Until the film breaks, those metals stay locked where nothing can reach them.

It helps these clear more:

  • Blood Purifier, Lymph Movement, and Liver Cleanse — A standing biofilm leaks waste into the blood and lymph every day. Breaking it lightens the load on every filter these blends are working to open.
  • C-Monster Blend — It clears the way so C-Monster’s herbs can get to work.

A CLEANSE, STEP BY STEP

  1. Prepare the liver (2 weeks before). Take Organic Milk Thistle Tincture for two weeks before you begin. Your liver handles everything the cleanse breaks loose, and it needs to be ready.
  2. Break the shield (1–2 weeks ahead). Start Biofilm Buster one to two weeks before your main cleanse.
  3. Bring in the cleanse. Add Anti-Parasite, Candida Yeast Balance, Mold Fashioned, or Heavy Metal Detox. For Anti-Parasite, start on the full moon — the day before, the day of, or the day after.
  4. Keep the shield down. Stay on Biofilm Buster for the whole cleanse, and keep going in rounds after it ends.
  5. Bind and carry it out. Take a binder every day.
  6. Finish strong (2 weeks after). Take Organic Milk Thistle Tincture for two weeks after your cleanse ends.

WHY VIOLET GLASS

Amber glass is so last century.

Every Godly Granny tincture is bottled in Miron violet glass, developed in Switzerland for makers who take freshness seriously.

Light protection.
Clear, amber, and blue glass all let most visible light through, and visible light is what breaks a plant extract down — it drives the oxidation that fades color, flattens taste, and weakens the compounds you’re paying for. Violet glass blocks the entire visible spectrum, letting through only a narrow band of violet light along with UV-A and infrared, the wavelengths that help preserve what’s inside.

Extended shelf life.
Alcohol is a natural preservative. Paired with glass that keeps light off the extract, your bottle stays strong for years, not months — 5–7 years tightly closed in a cool, dark place. No refrigeration needed.

Herb frequency retention.
Every living plant carries its own subtle energy, or frequency. Miron’s makers — and many herbalists — hold that violet light helps keep that living quality intact long after harvest, so what’s in your bottle stays as close as possible to the plant it came from.

WHO SHOULD NOT TAKE IT

  • Pregnant or nursing.
  • Under 16.
  • Garlic allergy. Contains fresh garlic.
  • Gallstones or a blocked bile duct. Oregon grape gets bile moving.
  • A sensitive or ulcer-prone stomach. This is a hot, spicy blend.
  • Blood sugar that already runs low. Oregon grape and cinnamon both bring it down.
  • A planned operation coming up. Stop two weeks before any planned operation because garlic, clove, and cinnamon affect clotting.
  • Avoid alcohol completely. A 25-drop serving is less than a teaspoon of liquid, but it is alcohol.

WARNINGS

  • Take the week off between rounds. It’s what lets your good gut bacteria rebuild.
  • Stop taking it if the whites of your eyes or your skin turn yellow, your urine turns dark brown, or you have pain under your right ribs.
  • Heartburn? Take your drops with the first few bites of a meal instead of before it.
  • Garlic breath is part of the deal. It means the garlic is in there.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
