Organic Wellness Tea—Liver Cleanse
Description
Get Things Moving Support
Toxin Takeout Blend
THE HARDEST-WORKING ORGAN IN THE HOUSE
The birthday cake. The second glass of wine. The fried chicken on Sunday, the pain reliever on Monday, the hair dye, the cleaning spray, the air on the interstate. Every bit of it lands on one desk.
Your liver never clocks out. It sorts, breaks down, and hauls off everything you eat, drink, breathe, and rub on your skin, around the clock, without a single day off. And when the in-box piles higher than it can clear, everything else slows down with it.
Granny says it’s time to get things moving.
Liver Cleanse is a loose-leaf blend of eight organic seeds, roots, leaves, and berries with one job: flushing the liver, moving bile, and restoring the body’s hardest-working filter. Three herbs guard the liver, three get the bile flowing, and two keep the exits open, so what the liver clears actually leaves the building.
WHAT YOUR LIVER DOES, AND WHAT HAPPENS WHEN IT FALLS BEHIND
Your liver is your body’s filter, factory, and garbage service all in one. It runs more than 500 jobs a day. It cleans the blood, breaks down alcohol, medicines, and chemicals, stores energy, makes the proteins that keep you healthy, and turns fats into fuel.
Its most important tool is bile. The liver packs what it pulls out of the blood into bile, sends the bile to the gut, and lets it carry the waste out with everything else. When bile flows freely, the trash goes out on time.
When the liver is overloaded or the bile runs thick and slow, the trash backs up. Waste that should leave gets sent back around, and you feel it:
- Tired all the time, especially after meals
- Bloating and heaviness after fatty foods
- Brain fog
- Dull, blotchy, or broken-out skin
- Waking between 1 and 3 in the morning
- Constipation or pale stools
- Trouble losing weight
- Headaches
- A coated tongue or bad breath
- Feeling hungover without having had a drink
Over time, a backed-up liver keeps recycling the very waste it’s trying to throw out. Clear the road, and the whole body feels the difference.
WHAT THIS TEA DOES FOR YOU
- Protects liver cells and supports their repair
- Gets bile flowing so waste leaves on schedule
- Flushes the liver and cleans the blood
- Keeps the bowels moving so what’s cleared stays cleared
- Settles bloating and heaviness after meals
- Clears the fog and lifts the tired, sluggish feeling
- Brightens the skin from the inside out
This blend works on three fronts at once. Milk Thistle, Schisandra, and Turmeric guard the liver cells. Dandelion, Artichoke, and Burdock get the bile moving. Yellow Dock and Peppermint keep the exits open. Protect, flush, clear: that’s the whole cleanse in one cup.
Most people feel lighter after meals within the first week, with steadier energy and clearer skin by the end of the first round.
WHAT’S IN IT AND WHY
MILK THISTLE SEED
Milk Thistle has been the liver’s best friend for more than 2,000 years. Herbalists in ancient Greece and Rome reached for it first, and it’s still the most famous liver herb in the world. Its seed carries silymarin, a powerful set of compounds that shields liver cells from damage and rebuilds them. It leads this blend for a reason.
DANDELION ROOT
Dandelion is the weed that works harder than anything else in your garden, and its root has been brewed as a liver tonic from Europe to China for centuries. It gets bile flowing so the liver can move waste out.
BURDOCK ROOT
Burdock is the classic blood-cleansing root, used from Europe to Japan for centuries. It backs up the liver as it filters the blood, and it’s rich in inulin, a natural fiber that feeds the good bacteria in your gut and keeps things moving.
TURMERIC ROOT
Turmeric is the golden root of India, where it has been used as food and medicine for thousands of years. It calms inflammation, protects liver cells, and gets bile flowing, all in one root.
SCHISANDRA BERRY
In China, it’s called “five flavor berry” because it tastes sweet, sour, salty, bitter, and pungent all at once. Schisandra strengthens the liver, protects its cells, and fires up the liver’s own cleanup crew: the enzymes that break down what needs to go.
ARTICHOKE LEAF
Yes, that artichoke. The leaf is where the power is. Europeans have used it as a liver tonic for generations. Artichoke leaf carries cynarin, which gets bile flowing and settles the bloating and heaviness that come after a rich meal.
YELLOW DOCK ROOT
Yellow dock is a tall roadside plant with a bright yellow root and a staple of old American blood tonics. It wakes up a sluggish liver and bowel, so what the liver clears actually leaves, and it builds iron-rich blood.
PEPPERMINT LEAF
Peppermint has settled stomachs since ancient Egypt. It eases gas and bloating, relaxes the gut so everything flows, and gives the cup a bright, cool finish.
Caffeine Free.
HOW TO MAKE IT
- Use 1 tablespoon (about 3 g) per 8 oz cup.
- Simmer gently, covered, for 15 minutes.
- Rest for 5 minutes off the heat, then strain.
- Enjoy 1 to 2 cups daily.
Roots and seeds hold their strength. The simmer draws it out, and the lid keeps the peppermint in the pot instead of the steam. Milk Thistle has a hard shell, so press the seeds with the back of a spoon before you simmer. That cracks the shell and lets the water in.
THE SECOND CUP
These herbs have more to give. Don’t throw them out after the first pot. Add fresh water to the same herbs and simmer again, a little longer than the first time. The second cup is mellower and every bit as good.
KEEPING THEM SAFE FOR THE SECOND BREW
Wet herbs sitting on the counter are a welcome mat for mold and bacteria. Strain the used herbs into a clean jar, put the lid on, and set it straight in the refrigerator. Brew them again within 24 hours. Never leave wet herbs sitting out overnight, and never brew them a third time. Smells sour or off? Toss them and start fresh.
HOW MANY CUPS
- First brew: 15 cups per pouch
- Second brew: 15 more cups from the same herbs
- Total: 30 cups per pouch
HOW MUCH, HOW LONG, AND WHEN TO TAKE A BREAK
Enjoy 1 to 2 cups daily.
Run it for 3 to 4 weeks, then take 1 week off before starting again.
Give it the whole round. A liver that’s been backed up for years doesn’t clear out in a weekend.
TAKING A BINDER?
A binder is the liver’s best partner. The liver dumps what it clears into bile, and bile empties into the gut. Without help, much of that waste gets soaked back up and sent right back to the liver for a second trip. Activated Charcoal, Bentonite Clay, and Diatomaceous Earth catch it in the gut and carry it out for good.
But binders grab whatever they touch in your gut, including the herbs in this tea and your tincture.
Keep them apart: take your binder at least 2 hours before or after your tea and your tincture.
A sample day:
- 7:00 a.m.: First cup of tea, before breakfast
- 2:00 p.m.: Second cup of tea, between lunch and dinner
- Bedtime: Binder, at least 2 hours after your last cup and your last meal
The tea sends the trash out. The binder makes sure it never comes back.
WAYS TO ENJOY IT
BEFORE BREAKFAST
First cup on an empty stomach. That’s when the liver listens.
TOUGH SEED
Milk Thistle has a hard shell. Press it with a spoon so the water gets in. Skip it, and the best part of the cup stays locked in the seed.
LESS INCOMING
Go easy on the fried and fatty foods while you’re on it. Your liver already has a full-time job.
WITH WATER
Drink a full glass of water with every cup. A flush needs something to flush with.
WITH A BINDER
Take Charcoal, Bentonite, or Diatomaceous Earth at bedtime, at least 2 hours after your last cup, so what the liver sends out stays out.
WITH TURMERIC’S FRIENDS
Add a pinch of black pepper and a splash of milk or coconut milk to your cup. Both drive more of turmeric’s golden power into your body.
THE MORNING POT
Simmer two cups’ worth first thing, keep it covered, and pour your second cup in the afternoon.
PAIRS GREAT WITH GODLY GRANNY GOURMET HONEY
A spoonful of Godly Granny Gourmet Honey in Whipped Lemon, stirred into the hot tea, adds a boost of sweetness and its own wellness: natural antioxidants, natural enzymes, and clean, steady energy. The Peppermint already gives this cup a bright, cool finish, and Whipped Lemon brings that brightness forward. Stir it into your before-breakfast cup, and you’ve got the old warm-water-and-lemon morning ritual with a liver tea working right underneath it. Honey and a hardworking liver tea: Granny’s idea of taking care of business.
BETTER TOGETHER: GODLY GRANNY ORGANIC FULL-STRENGTH LIVER CLEANSE TINCTURE BLEND
Two forms, one mission: get things moving and keep them moving.
The tea is your daily ritual: one or two cups a day, flushing and protecting round after round. The Full-Strength Tincture Blend is the herbs at full concentration, in your purse: a few drops, anywhere, any time.
Take them together on the same three-to-four-week rounds, and keep both at least 2 hours away from your binder. The tea flushes the filter. The tincture brings the full strength.
