Stagnation Buster Support
Circling the Drain Blend
WHEN THE DRAIN BACKS UP
Your rings are tight in the morning. Your ankles are puffy by supper. Your face is swollen when you wake, your legs feel like lead on the stairs, and every cold that comes through town stops at your house first.
That’s not just getting older. That’s a drain that has stopped draining.
Granny calls it stagnation, and she has a cup that busts it.
Lymph Movement is a loose-leaf blend of seven organic herbs, roots, and blossoms with one job: getting your lymph flowing again. Cleavers and Red Root open the drains. Red Clover, Calendula, and Burdock clean what comes through them. Echinacea arms the filters along the way. And Ginger gets the whole system moving.
YOUR LYMPH: THE DRAIN WITH NO PUMP
Your lymphatic system is the body’s drainage and cleanup network. It’s a web of vessels running right alongside your blood vessels, carrying a clear fluid called lymph. Lymph collects the waste, extra fluid, dead cells, and germs that seep out into your tissues and hauls them off to be filtered.
Along the way sit your lymph nodes, hundreds of small filters packed with immune cells. They catch what doesn’t belong and destroy it before the cleaned fluid returns to the blood.
Here’s the catch: your heart pumps your blood, but nothing pumps your lymph. It moves only when you move. Walking, stretching, deep breathing, and working muscles are the only pumps it has. Sit too long, move too little, eat poorly, or carry a heavy toxic load, and the lymph slows to a crawl.
When it backs up, you feel it:
- Puffy face and eyes in the morning
- Swollen ankles, feet, or fingers
- Heavy, achy legs
- Tender or swollen glands
- Catching every cold that goes around
- Bloating and fluid retention
- Fatigue and brain fog
- Stiffness, especially in the morning
- Dull skin, breakouts, or cellulite
Stagnant lymph means waste sits in the tissues instead of leaving. Over time, the whole body pays for a drain that isn’t draining.
WHAT THIS TEA DOES FOR YOU
- Gets stagnant lymph flowing again
- Drains puffiness, swelling, and fluid retention
- Clears congested glands and nodes
- Arms the immune cells stationed in every lymph node
- Cleans the blood the lymph empties into
- Lightens heavy legs and stiff mornings
- Brightens dull, congested skin
This blend works on three fronts at once. Cleavers and Red Root open the drains and drain the nodes. Red Clover, Calendula, and Burdock clean the fluid and the blood it flows into. Echinacea and Ginger keep the filters fighting and the whole system moving. Open, clean, move: that’s how a drain stays clear.
Most people see less morning puffiness within the first week or two, with lighter legs and clearer skin by the end of the first month.
WHAT’S IN IT AND WHY
CLEAVERS HERB
Most folks know it as goosegrass, the sticky plant that clings to your socks and your dog. Cleavers leads this blend because it is one of the greatest lymph movers in all of herbalism. It drains swollen glands, gets stagnant lymph flowing, and flushes extra fluid out through the kidneys, so the puffiness has somewhere to go.
RED ROOT
Red Root is the root of New Jersey Tea, a shrub whose leaves stood in for black tea during the American Revolution. The root is a lymph specialist. It clears swollen, congested nodes and decongests the spleen, the body’s largest lymph organ.
RED CLOVER BLOSSOM
Those pink meadow blossoms were the heart of many old American cleansing tonics. Red Clover cleans the blood and the lymph together and clears the skin from the inside out.
CALENDULA FLOWER
Calendula is the bright golden marigold of the old-fashioned cottage garden. It moves lymph, calms swollen, inflamed tissue, and soothes it from the inside out.
BURDOCK ROOT
Burdock is the classic blood-cleansing root, used from Europe to Japan for centuries. It cleans the blood the lymph empties into, backs up the liver as it filters, and flushes fluid through the kidneys.
ECHINACEA ROOT
Echinacea is the purple coneflower of the American prairie, the plant Native American healers reached for more than any other. It powers up the immune cells that live in your lymph nodes, so the filters work as hard as the drains.
GINGER ROOT
Ginger has warmed and moved the body in India and China for thousands of years. It gets circulation going, warms you through, and settles the stomach, so the whole system picks up speed.
Caffeine Free.
HOW TO MAKE IT
- Use 1 tablespoon (about 3.2 g) per 8 oz cup.
- Use water just off the boil.
- Cover and steep for 10 minutes.
- Enjoy 1 to 3 cups daily.
Leaves and blossoms give freely. Keep the lid on and don’t rush them; ten covered minutes gets the roots underneath working, too.
THE SECOND CUP
These herbs have more to give. Don’t throw them out after the first cup. Pour fresh hot water over the same herbs and steep a little longer than the first time. The second cup is mellower and every bit as good.
KEEPING THEM SAFE FOR THE SECOND BREW
Wet herbs sitting on the counter are a welcome mat for mold and bacteria. Strain the used herbs into a clean jar, put the lid on, and set it straight in the refrigerator. Brew them again within 24 hours. Never leave wet herbs sitting out overnight, and never brew them a third time. Smells sour or off? Toss them and start fresh.
HOW MANY CUPS
- First brew: 15 cups per pouch
- Second brew: 15 more cups from the same herbs
- Total: 30 cups per pouch
HOW MUCH, HOW LONG, AND WHEN TO TAKE A BREAK
Enjoy 1 to 3 cups daily.
Take 1 week off each month, then start again.
Give it the full month. Lymph that has been sitting for years doesn’t clear out in a weekend.
TAKING A BINDER?
A binder is the lymph’s best partner. Cleavers and Red Root push stagnant lymph out of the tissues and into the blood. Burdock and the liver send that waste on to the gut. Without help, much of it gets soaked back up and sent around for another lap. Activated Charcoal, Bentonite Clay, and Diatomaceous Earth catch it in the gut and carry it out for good.
But binders grab whatever they touch in your gut, including the herbs in this tea and your tincture.
Keep them apart: take your binder at least 2 hours before or after your tea and your tincture.
A sample day:
- 7:00 a.m.: First cup of tea, then a walk
- 12:00 p.m.: Second cup of tea
- 4:00 p.m.: Third cup, if you’re drinking three
- Bedtime: Binder, at least 2 hours after your last cup and your last meal
Get it moving by day. Carry it off by night. That’s how a drain stays clear.
WAYS TO ENJOY IT
GET MOVING
Lymph has no pump but you. Drink the cup, then take the walk.
FIRST THING
Lymph pools while you lie still all night. That’s why the puffiness is worst at sunrise. Make your first cup the first thing you do, and get on your feet right after.
DEEP BREATHS
Your breathing muscle is one of the lymph’s strongest pumps. Sip your cup, then take ten slow, deep belly breaths.
BOUNCE AND BRUSH
A few minutes of bouncing on a mini trampoline or brushing your skin toward your heart with a dry brush before your shower sends lymph moving faster.
COLD BREW
Cleavers loves cold water. Put two tablespoons in a quart jar of cold water, put the lid on, and refrigerate overnight.
WITH WATER
Drainage needs something to drain with. Drink a full glass of water with every cup.
WITH A BINDER
Take Charcoal, Bentonite, or Diatomaceous Earth at bedtime, at least 2 hours after your last cup, to carry off what the lymph sends out.
PAIRS GREAT WITH GODLY GRANNY GOURMET HONEY
A spoonful of Godly Granny Gourmet Honey in Wildflower, stirred into the hot tea, adds a boost of sweetness and its own wellness: natural antioxidants, natural enzymes, and clean, steady energy. Red Clover and Calendula are meadow blossoms, and Wildflower honey comes from meadow blossoms. That’s a whole meadow in one cup, and it gives the Red Clover and Calendula a kumbaya moment. Honey and a free-flowing cup: Granny’s kind of harmony.
BETTER TOGETHER: GODLY GRANNY ORGANIC FULL-STRENGTH LYMPH MOVEMENT TINCTURE BLEND
Two forms, one mission: get the drain flowing and keep it flowing.
The tea is your daily ritual: up to three cups a day, opening the drains and moving the fluid month after month. The Full-Strength Tincture Blend is the herbs at full concentration, in your purse: a few drops, anywhere, any time.
Take them together on the same schedule, with the same week off each month, and keep both at least 2 hours away from your binder. The tea keeps it flowing. The tincture brings the full strength.
