Black walnut hull is a cleansing herb, used in short courses — not a take-forever daily tonic. Shake gently before use. Add the drops to a little water or juice (the taste is bitter and astringent — that's the potency).

Suggested drops by age group, during cleansing:

• Adults: 20–30 drops, 1–2 times daily
  
• Seniors: 15–20 drops, once daily — start low
  
• Teens (13+): 10–15 drops, once daily

• Thyroid conditions. Because black walnut is naturally high in iodine, consult your doctor before use if you have a thyroid disorder or take thyroid medication.
  
• Tinnitus. Traditionally avoided by those with ringing in the ears (tinnitus).
